SUMMARY:NTN\, Security & Resilience
DESCRIPTION:NTN\, Security & Resilience is a specialist event on the strategic importance of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) for Europe’s digital sovereignty. The main focus of the event – organized by UNITY-6G project partner DLR – will be on current developments within the European IRIS² program (Infrastructure for Resilience\, Interconnectivity and Security by Satellite)\, which plays a key role for secure\, resilient and sovereign communication infrastructures in Europe. \n\n\n\nWhy this event? \n\n\n\nGlobal crises\, geopolitical tensions and technological dependencies show: Europe needs robust\, fail-safe and independent communication solutions. NTNs – i.e. satellite-based communication systems – are a central component of this. In combination with powerful terrestrial networks such as 5G and\, in future\, 6G\, new opportunities are opening up to raise security\, availability and resilience to a new level. \n\n\n\n\nThe vision and implementation of IRIS²: Europe’s path to sovereign connectivity\n\n\n\nNTN as the backbone for resilient and tap-proof communication infrastructures\n\n\n\nThe integration of 5G/6G in hybrid network architectures\n\n\n\nChallenges and solutions in the area of cybersecurity and resilience\n\n\n\nIndustrial perspectives\, market potential and European cooperation\n\n\n\n\nAs part of the event\, there will also be a small exhibition of the selected EC-funded projects on the topic of NTN\, including 5G-STARDUST\, Nexasphere\, 6G-NTN\, and UNITY-6G.
