NTN, Security & Resilience is a specialist event on the strategic importance of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) for Europe’s digital sovereignty. The main focus of the event – organized by UNITY-6G project partner DLR – will be on current developments within the European IRIS² program (Infrastructure for Resilience, Interconnectivity and Security by Satellite), which plays a key role for secure, resilient and sovereign communication infrastructures in Europe.
Why this event?
Global crises, geopolitical tensions and technological dependencies show: Europe needs robust, fail-safe and independent communication solutions. NTNs – i.e. satellite-based communication systems – are a central component of this. In combination with powerful terrestrial networks such as 5G and, in future, 6G, new opportunities are opening up to raise security, availability and resilience to a new level.

As part of the event, there will also be a small exhibition of the selected EC-funded projects on the topic of NTN, including 5G-STARDUST, Nexasphere, 6G-NTN, and UNITY-6G.
